12 Sep | Moray East OWF wildlife surveys completed

APEM’s digital aerial surveys have finished gathering detailed data on marine wildlife for a major wind farm off the coast of Scotland. Moray East Offshore wind farm will lie round 22 km off the coast of Caithness in the Moray Firth. Thousands of ultra-high resolution images have been captured over an area of about 1,400 square kilometres around where the wind farm is planned, as part of long term monitoring of local wildlife.

Vineyard Wind announced today that it has submitted the project’s Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Report (SDEIR) to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act Office (MEPA.) 03 Sep | Van Oord in pilot project oyster recovery in the North Sea

Together with the North Sea Foundation and the Natuur & Milieu organisation, Van Oord and Eneco are starting a unique project to restore natural underwater features around wind farms: “the Rich North Sea”. A pilot project at Eneco’s Luchterduinen wind farm will investigate how nature conservation and sustainable energy generation can reinforce one another.
